“Soundtrack of My Life”
A musical lecture in which I share my personal story
alongside playing the flute
When I was 8 years old, my life changed when my mother insisted that
I study music.
Thus began my journey with the sounds of the flute.
Sounds that could not have been taken for granted, in a reality of deep poverty.
Step by step, I have built myself as a young musician, but nothing
prepared me for the event that both my parents, immigrants from the former
Soviet Union - father, a painter and mother, an electric engineer - would be diagnosed with cancer at such a young age.
At the age of 19 I lost both my parents, Mark and Larisa Furman.
I have chosen not to give up and to walk alongside the difficulty toward
building a better future.
Every day I choose anew, to look into the light in life and to create musical endeavour and activities in Israel and abroad.
I see music as a powerful means to achieving reasonable social and educational impact on an audience.
This lecture aims to achieve just that.
I believe teenagers and adults will feel inspired, willing to give, optimistic and inspired to see and choose good in life.
My wish is to give my audience tools for overcoming challenges and difficulties in their lives.
"It's a story of coping and inspiration accompanied by lovely melodies, that will definitely get into your heart."
"We had the privilege to hear your inspiring lecture. A young woman with insights of one who had a life journey and chose happiness and joy."

The duration of the lecture is approx. 75 minutes.
The program is carefully adapted to best suit each audience.
The lecture combines musical pieces from multiple genres played by me -
pieces from the Classical repertoire as well as Latin music and Israeli songs.
The lecture is accompanied by a slideshow portraying
videos and photos of beautiful paintings by my father.
